Inquiry based learning encourages students to construct their own knowledge through an iterative process of orientation, theory building, investigation, conclusion and discussion. During the MISStoHIT project tangible objects will be developed. Students will use the objects to design and execute experiments. Students replicate the experience of science with the goal to acquire conceptual knowledge as well as inquiry learning skills. For example, a student can use a balance scale and different weights to learn about the relation between weight, volume, and position, or use lights, batteries, wires, voltmeters and resistors to learn about the electrical circuit.
